Funds to support elderly veterans and their families; up to 30% discount on all domestic routes for eligible recipients
Air Busan donated funds to support veterans' families in the Busan area in honor of June's Patriots and Veterans Month.
The airline visited the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office in Jungang-dong, Jung-gu on Tuesday to present the donation, it announced Wednesday. The handover ceremony was attended by Air Busan senior executive Yeo In-yong, Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office director Lee Nam-il and other officials from both sides.
Air Busan has now carried out support activities for veterans' families in partnership with the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office for three consecutive years. The latest donation will go toward covering living expenses for elderly veterans of national merit and their families in the region.
As community-linked corporate social responsibility grows in importance across the aviation industry, Air Busan said it will continue to support local veterans' families as a Busan-based carrier.
"We hope this donation provides meaningful, practical help to veterans of national merit and their families," an Air Busan official said. "We will continue to lead efforts to carry on the spirit of honoring those who served, and to realize the values of mutual growth and sharing within our community."
Meanwhile, Air Busan is offering special discounts on standard fares across all domestic routes for veterans and their bereaved families during Patriots and Veterans Month. Eligible recipients include independence movement contributors, veterans of national merit, May 18 pro-democracy movement contributors, special mission contributors and veterans' compensation recipients, with discounts of up to 30 percent off standard fares.
