Beauty company Goodai Global has named Koo Chang-keun as co-CEO. According to industry sources Monday, Koo is a former Samsung Securities analyst who went on to serve as CEO of CJ Foodville, CJ Olive Young and CJ ENM in succession.
At CJ Foodville, he strengthened the company's production base and led the spinoff and growth of the cafe brand A Twosome Place. At CJ Olive Young, he spearheaded the transformation of the health and beauty store chain into an omnichannel beauty platform integrating online and offline operations.
The appointment marks the first time Goodai Global has adopted a co-CEO structure in the decade since its founding in December 2016, during which founder Cheon Ju-hyeok had run the company alone. "I will expand the project so that our outstanding brand portfolio can reach further into overseas markets," Koo said.
