HEBRON, Ohio, June 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ArmorSource, LLC, a US-based manufacturer of advanced ballistic helmet systems, is ramping up production after securing a $17.6 million contract to manufacture and deliver 25,000 Advanced Combat Helmet Gen II (ACH Gen II) systems to the US Army.

The award followed a comprehensive procurement process. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) officially announced it Thursday under contract number SPE1C1-26-C-0016. Deliveries under the new order are scheduled to begin in 2027.

Todd Barnes, ArmorSource's director of government programs, said the company views the award as a sign of confidence from the US government, the US Army, Program Executive Office Soldier and the DLA. "This order, alongside our current contract to deliver 30,000 Advanced Combat Vehicle Crewman (ACVC) helmets, positions ArmorSource at the forefront of US government suppliers in advanced lightweight head protection systems," Barnes said. "The ArmorSource team is ready to execute this important mission."
