A post describing two sharp screws found standing upright on an infant seat in a mart restroom has alarmed an online community.
The post, titled "Someone placed screws on the infant seat in Cheonan," was uploaded to the online community Bobaedream on Monday with photographs. The images show two screws placed side by side on the section where a child's bottom would rest, pointed ends facing upward — raising questions about whether someone had placed them there deliberately.
The author said they discovered the screws on the infant seat in the restroom of an E-mart Traders and removed them immediately.
"I was shocked because a child could have been hurt if they had been seated," the author wrote, urging other parents to check infant seats for sharp objects before placing their children in them.
The seat in the photographs is a wall-mounted infant chair installed beside the toilet so parents can secure their child while using the restroom.
