Takes selfies, signs autographs for citizens at polling station

Former President Lee Myung-bak visited a polling station near his Seoul home Wednesday morning to cast his ballot in the June 3 local elections.

Lee and his wife, Kim Yoon-ok, voted together at the third polling station in Nonhyeon 1-dong, set up at the National Pension Service Seoul Southern Regional Headquarters, according to Yonhap News Agency.

At the entrance to the polling station, Lee signed autographs and posed for photos with citizens who approached him. On his way inside, he turned to those nearby and asked, "Have you voted?"

Speaking to reporters after casting his ballot, Lee said, "Voting is a civic duty, and I'm glad I took part. I hope many citizens will participate in this election."
