Singer Moon Won, who married Shindee of mixed-gender group Coyote, has opened up about developing social anxiety from malicious online comments and rumors before their wedding.

Moon Won appeared alongside Shindee on the MBN variety program "Nam-ui Jip Gwihan Kajok" ("A Precious Family in Someone Else's Home"), which aired its first episode on Tuesday, sharing behind-the-scenes details of their marriage.

Moon Won had been swept up in various rumors after unexpected reports of a possible marriage surfaced in July last year. "It broke my heart because people were hurling abuse not just at me but at Shindee and our families as well," he said.

"When I looked into it, I found that some of the people spreading rumors and leaving hateful comments were people I knew. That's when I developed social anxiety," he said.

Shindee, who witnessed it all firsthand, recounted how Moon Won had spent nights reading through comments in distress, while also expressing her firm trust in him.

Shindee noted that Moon Won had been upfront with her about his previous divorce and his child before they began dating. "We were both certain about each other, so there was nothing to doubt," she said.

On why she decided to appear on television despite the controversy, Shindee said, "There's still some fear, but I made up my mind when I was told we could just show our everyday life as it is, without anything scripted."

Meanwhile, Shindee and Moon Won wed after a three-year relationship.
