Seoul's Dongdaemun District Office, led by acting District Mayor and Deputy District Mayor Kim Ki-hyun, will open an after-hours acquisition tax service counter timed to the move-in period for Cheongnyangni Zone 7 (Lotte Castle Hi-Luche).

The evening counter is a tailored service for working residents and others who cannot visit the district office during regular business hours.

The initiative focuses on ensuring that new residents — busy with settling in and preparing for their move — complete their acquisition tax filings on time and avoid penalties such as surcharges.

The counter will operate every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., May 1 through June 30, at the tax administration service window on the second floor of the Dongdaemun District Office. Residents can file real estate acquisition tax returns and receive personalized tax consultation.

"We hope residents who have had difficulty visiting during the day will feel free to use the evening counter at their convenience," Deputy District Mayor Kim said. "We will minimize the inconvenience that comes with a large-scale move-in and deliver proactive tax administration services to build a Dongdaemun District that residents can trust."
